WPNA Zoning Meeting - April 3, 7:00pm

Please join WPNA’s Zoning Committee for a public meeting to solicit community feedback for the following application:

2435 W. Passyunk Avenue Application for demolition of all existing structures on lot and the erection of a one story structure & canopy above a fueling island for use as automobile fueling station with accessory retail sale of groceries with prep & serving of food for takeout; For the erection of one double sided freestanding sign & for the creation of six off-street parking spaces (including zero handicap spaces). Refusal was on the grounds that automobile service station with take-out food is prohibited in Passyunk Ave; special controls district; proposal does not include required handicap space; the required 6’W X 6’H screening along residential lines is not included in proposal.

When: Wednesday, April 3, 7:00pm
Where: 1st District Police Station, 2301 S 24th St. (between Wolf & Ritner)

PLEASE NOTE: WPNA Zoning Meetings will be held the 4th Thursday of every month at 1st District Police Station at 7:00pm.

Getting to WPNA's neighborhoods from Center City is a snap! It's convenient by subway, bus, cab or car. Take the Broad Street Subway southbound from any Center City station to the Snyder Street stop. The 2 bus runs south on 17th Street and back north towards Center City on 16th Street. The 17 bus runs south on 19th Street from Old City and back north on 20th Street to Market and back to Front. The 7 bus runs from the Fairmount District down 23rd Street to Passyunk Avenue and back down 22nd Street. Cab fare from Center City will run around $10 one way. If you drive, don't worry about parking - it is plentiful on the street and most places it is FREE!
